Editorial Desk
The editorial operation behind TechDefused — the founder/publisher accountable for what we publish, the named editorial team contributing under their own bylines, and the structural scaffolding (two-pass quality control, the Knowledge Graph factfile layer, AI disclosure on every Newsroom article) that supports them both.

Founder and publisher
Jamie Ashcroft — founder of Creamery Media Ltd and publisher of the Defused Network titles. Background in business and financial journalism, software, and economics. Architect of the editorial automation systems that power TechDefused and the wider network.
Editorial accountability for TechDefused sits with the founder/publisher and the editor-in-the-loop methodology. The bio framing detail lives on the About page.
How we work
TechDefused's content production runs on the TechDefused Newsroom pipeline — AI drafts from public filings, vendor releases, security advisories, GitHub releases, benchmark publications, and structured technology data, under human editorial oversight. Every article passes through a two-pass quality control architecture before publication: editorial Pass 1, then verification Pass 2 against the Knowledge Graph factfile layer. Unsupported claims are removed; ambiguous claims are flagged for human review rather than published.
The Newsroom byline is a deliberate posture, not just an attribution string. It signals that a piece was produced through the AI-assisted pipeline under human editorial oversight, and that responsibility for it sits with the publication rather than with any single contributor. Guest contributor pieces are bylined to the named author and are not produced through the AI pipeline.
The full mechanics live across our AI disclosure, verification and fact-checking, sources, and corrections pages.
The editorial team
The TechDefused editorial team is described here in criteria-oriented terms — the standards each role meets. As named contributors are confirmed, their profiles populate this page below the role they hold; the criteria framing remains as the publication's standing description of the standard for that role type.
Named, accountable people sit behind every editorial role. Contributors operate under their own bylines and credentials. The Newsroom collective byline is reserved for AI-assisted production under editorial oversight; named contributors do not hide behind it.
Executive Editors
The Executive Editor sets editorial direction, owns publishing standards, and is the founder/publisher accountable for what TechDefused publishes. The role holds final say on editorial policy and the standards every piece is held to.

TechDefused does not assign an Editor in Chief title to any third-party contributor.
