Grokipedia, the AI-generated encyclopedia built by Elon Musk's SpaceXAI, has started updating articles again after a pause that began in April, The Verge reported.
The site's live log of changes now shows recent activity.
A page on Barack Obama was marked "Fact-checked by Grok" two days ago, and Musk's own page was checked within the past hour, according to The Verge.
Grokipedia launched in October 2025 with about 885,000 machine-generated articles.
By August, Lawfare, the legal and national security publication, had found that no entries had changed for more than three months, raising questions about whether the project had stalled.
Patchy revival
The comeback is uneven.
Many refreshed pages carry only a generic instruction to recheck all references and sources.
Some articles, including the one on Honolulu, still show checks from seven months ago.
The site also appears to be accepting some suggested edits from users again.
A request to add the release date for the video game Gears of War: E-Day was approved, while a proposed new article on Meta's Muse chatbot is still marked "In Review".
Musk goes quiet
SpaceXAI did not immediately respond to The Verge's request for comment.
Musk has not posted about Grokipedia on X since February.
About a year ago, he claimed the project would be "a massive improvement over Wikipedia".
Benji Taylor, head of design at X and SpaceXAI, posted last week that the company had not forgotten about Grokipedia, pointing to a forthcoming version 0.2.
