Oxide Computer Company, which builds integrated hardware and open-source software systems designed to bring hyperscale-style cloud infrastructure into enterprise-owned data centers, has raised $445 million in a Series D round led by Eclipse.

The Emeryville, California-based company said it became profitable earlier in 2026 and increased manufacturing capacity twentyfold over the past 12 months, yet customer demand still exceeds what it can produce.

Accelerating pace

"The accelerating pace of on-prem cloud computing projects has required us to scale manufacturing capacity by 20x over the past 12 months, and yet demand still exceeds supply," said Steve Tuck, co-founder and CEO of Oxide.

The new capital will go mainly toward component procurement, manufacturing expansion and fulfilling existing and future customer orders, which makes sense as hardware makers must spend upfront on parts and assembly before customers pay.

Existing backers US Innovative Technology Fund, Riot Ventures and Jane Street returned for the round, joined by new investors Atreides Management and AMD Ventures.

Deepening ties

AMD Ventures' participation deepens an existing technical relationship between the two companies.

This encompasses hardware and software development; Sagi Paz, head of AMD Ventures, said Oxide's "systems-level approach to enterprise infrastructure is expanding the choices available to customers as their computing needs become more complex."

Oxide's Cloud Computer rack-scale system integrates compute, storage, networking and management software for customers in financial services, government, national laboratories and aerospace, and the company said growing demand for AI infrastructure, particularly workloads involving autonomous AI agents, is driving requirements for computing capacity, memory and networking higher still.
