Nvidia unveiled a series of strategic agreements with several of South Korea's largest technology groups during CEO Jensen Huang's visit to the country.

The partnerships, announced without disclosed financial terms and involving SK Hynix, SK Telecom, Naver, Doosan Group and LG, were described in a joint statement as moves to strengthen collaboration across memory chips, cloud infrastructure and robotics.

Under the deal, SK Hynix will work with Nvidia through a multi-year technology partnership to develop next-generation memory solutions for AI data centres worldwide to meet rising demand tied to Nvidia's expansion into robotics, AI-powered personal computers and advanced supercomputing systems.

SK Telecom said it plans to build a gigawatt-scale AI cloud platform in South Korea using Nvidia technology, and the first AI-focused data centre within the project is expected to begin operations in 2027.

Naver and Doosan announced new collaborations to build AI data centre infrastructure, with Doosan expecting its energy technologies to be incorporated into Nvidia's data centre platforms and planning to use Nvidia's physical-AI capabilities in its own operations.

Huang also disclosed that Nvidia is working with LG Group on projects involving humanoid robots and data centres following meetings with LG Chairman Koo Kwang-mo.

The agreements further cement Nvidia's presence in South Korea, a market the companies say plays a critical role in the global semiconductor supply chain and in the development of next-generation AI infrastructure.
