Samsung's Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 has leaked ahead of the company's Unpacked event, with promotional materials revealing an 800mAh battery and other upgraded specs.
The details, posted by leak publisher evleaks, show the Ultra 2's 800mAh cell is roughly 1.35 times the original 2024 Galaxy Watch Ultra's 590mAh battery and list a claimed battery life increase from 48 hours to 60 hours.
The specifications also note the new watch is 12% thinner than its predecessor, which alongside the capacity jump suggests Samsung may be using higher‑capacity silicon‑carbon battery chemistry rather than the graphite‑anode lithium‑ion cells it currently deploys in phones.
The leak points to a 5,000‑nit peak brightness for the Ultra 2 display, up from the 3,000 nits of the 2024 model, a change that is significant on paper though unlikely to transform everyday usability.
Other listed hardware includes a part‑titanium casing, a Snapdragon Wear Elite processor and IP69K water resistance, with the materials hinting at at least a 10ATM rating.
The leak also covers the standard Galaxy Watch 9, which is said to ship in 40mm and 44mm sizes with 390mAh and 445mAh batteries respectively and to move from the Exynos W1000 to the Snapdragon Wear Elite.
Samsung is expected to provide official details at its Unpacked event on July 22.
