SambaNova, which builds inference-focused AI processors and server racks for on-premise deployments, raised $1 billion in fresh financing led by General Atlantic.

The company said the capital will be used to accelerate deployments of its SN50-based racks and scale on-premise inference rollouts for enterprise customers, a use case JPMorgan Chase has selected SambaNova for in its demanding AI workloads.

The financing values SambaNova at $11 billion and included participation from Seligman Ventures, T. Rowe Price and Capital Group.

It follows more than $350 million the company raised earlier this year from investors including Intel.

CEO Rodrigo Liang told CNBC: "We're scaling the business really, really fast."

Liang said SambaNova is strongly considering an initial public offering in 2027, most likely in the U.S.
