Anthropic intends to file publicly for an initial public offering at around 9am in New York on Monday, Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
The San Francisco-based company, founded in 2021 by former OpenAI researchers including chief executive Dario Amodei, builds the Claude family of large language models and has positioned itself around AI-safety research such as interpretability and alignment.
Anthropic reportedly filed confidentially for a US listing earlier in 2026, and Bloomberg has suggested the offering could rival the scale of SpaceX's planned IPO.
The filing follows a run of financing that has few parallels in the sector.
Anthropic raised $3.5 billion at a $61.5 billion valuation in March 2025, then $13 billion in a September 2025 round that pushed its valuation to $183 billion led by investors including Lightspeed Venture Partners.
A February 2026 raise of $30 billion valued the company at $380 billion, with run-rate revenue cited at $14 billion at the time; by May, a further $65 billion round valued it at $965 billion as run-rate revenue passed $47 billion according to the company.
Reported annualized revenue had exceeded $65 billion by the end of July, up from about $9 billion at the end of 2025.
Alphabet and Amazon have each committed major strategic capital, with Alphabet pledging up to $40 billion and Amazon up to $25 billion, underpinning compute deals with Broadcom and CoreWeave that support Anthropic's model training.
