Michael Saylor said he expects Bitcoin to appreciate about 30% a year for the next 20 years.
Saylor made the comments while describing how Strategy, the world’s largest corporate Bitcoin holder, used AI to overcome financing constraints that traditional Wall Street structures could not.
“We can’t outwork the robots, don’t try to outwork the robots,” Saylor said.
He said Strategy used OpenAI’s ChatGPT to explore legal and structural options and that work contributed to the creation of STRK and STRC, a set of preferred securities including a variable-rate preferred stock meant to trade near $100 par.
Saylor said the company ultimately issued roughly $15 billion in credit instruments with AI’s assistance.
He added Strategy sold enough Bitcoin to show the holdings could be monetized without crashing the market, noting the coins were trading roughly $59,000 when the sale occurred and later moved higher.
Saylor also said he expects Bitcoin to outperform the S&P 500 by about 1.5 to two times over the long term.
