China's electric-vehicle deliveries fell 7% year on year in June to 1.04 million units, marking the sixth consecutive monthly decline.
Preliminary data from the China Passenger Car Association showed the June figure covers 1.04 million pure electric and plug-in hybrid cars handed to customers in mainland China, and said automakers have rolled out promotions aimed at budget-conscious consumers.
The sustained downward trend has continued despite discounting and is intensifying concerns about Chinese EV firms' profitability.
Deliveries for the first half of 2026 fell 13% from a year earlier to 4.73 million units.
