Five Eyes, the intelligence-sharing alliance, urged organizations to move quickly to counter AI-driven cyber threats.

The alliance warned that AI models are expected to fundamentally transform offensive and defensive cyber capabilities within months and that previously unknown vulnerabilities will emerge.

Five Eyes made the warning in a National Cyber Security Centre report titled "The AI shift in cyber risk: why leaders must act now."

"Breaches will occur," the report said.

The report adds that adversaries are already using AI to move faster and more effectively and that defenders must mirror that speed and effectiveness.

It concludes with a direct call for organisations to treat the AI change in cyber risk as an immediate operational priority.
