Einride will deploy 500 Tesla Semi trucks across its North American network.

The Swedish electric and autonomous trucking company said the rollout will begin next month, run across North America in phases and serve customers such as Amazon, and the company said the addition will triple the size of its electric fleet while it expects revenue growth to accelerate.

"This deployment is yet another proof point that we can execute at the scale our customers demand," Einride CEO Roozbeh Charli said.

Einride's announcement did not state a purchase or formal order from Tesla, noting No purchase or formal order was mentioned, while Tesla has reportedly moved into higher-volume Semi output after mass producing Semi trucks in late April at a dedicated factory in Sparks, Nev.

The Semi program has been long-running: Tesla first showed the Semi truck to the public in 2017 and delivered an initial pilot unit in 2022.

Bloomberg and Reuters described the agreement as the industry's largest deployment of Tesla Semis to date.
