Apple is holding a "Welcome Home" event on Tuesday, widely expected to anchor the company's biggest smart home push in years, Mashable reported.
The centrepiece is a countertop home hub, often referred to as "HomePad", carrying a roughly 6-inch display and built around Siri and Apple Intelligence.
Mashable's reporting points to an updated HomePod mini with a new chip and surround-sound capability for home theatre setups, alongside a refreshed Apple TV 4K box and possibly a new remote.

The HomePod mini has not had a meaningful refresh since launching in 2020, and the current Apple TV 4K generation dates to 2022, making both overdue updates if confirmed.
Apple is also reportedly developing LG-branded smart home accessories, including a doorbell, thermostat, cameras and a smart lock, positioning the new hub as a central controller for HomeKit devices rather than a standalone speaker.
The hub could ship in multiple versions, including countertop and wall-mountable designs, with the display reportedly capable of mimicking iPhone-style dual-screen functionality.
Tuesday's event will show whether Apple follows through on the leaked hardware and how it positions Siri across what could become two distinct voice assistant experiences on separate HomePod lines.
