The fastest route to a job at the world's largest creator business is now tantalisingly simple. All you have to do is shoot a video in which you explain, in detail, where its famous owner's content went wrong.
Jimmy Donaldson, the incredibly successful YouTuber known as MrBeast, whose main channel has passed 510 million subscribers and 134.9 billion lifetime views, has opened a novel recruitment drive, seeking to hire a YouTube Creative Strategist at Beast Industries.
The "job ad" came in the form of a post on Donaldson's X account, pointing to a one-pager website.
"I'm looking for the best creative storytellers on the planet!" Donaldson writes.

MrBeast's application strips out almost everything a recruiter would normally ask for. "No resume. No cover letter. Just tell us, on video," Beast Industries requests, adding: "We don't care where you went to school or how long your resume is."
What the YouTuber does ask for is critique, via three questions.
Question one invites candidates to pick two MrBeast videos from the past year and walk through what worked best, with the page listing moments, structure, pacing, characters, stakes, emotion, retention, thumbnails and titles as fair game.
Question two flips it: pick one or two videos and say what you would change. "Be direct. What didn't work? Where did the video lose energy?"
The third question is a working exercise, where applicants are asked to imagine themselves in the company's creative room, take any video from its $1 Series, and reimagine it.
"We aren't looking for the perfect answer," Beast Industries adds.
"We're looking to understand how you think."
The recruitment drive lands as Beast Industries, formed in 2024, continues a hard push toward institutional structure.
Chief executive Jeff Housenbold, formerly of Shutterfly and SoftBank's Vision Fund, has said the group is targeting its first profit in 2026, having stripped more than $100 million from operating expenses in 14 months while growing the top line.
A roughly $300 million Series C valued the business at around $5 billion, and the company hired NBCUniversal reality veteran Corie Henson as president of Beast Industry Studios in October 2025.
Beast Industries is the holding company for Donaldson's operations, headquartered in Greenville, North Carolina. It organises seven-plus subsidiaries, including snack brand Feastables, Beast Games, MrBeast Studios, analytics platform Viewstats, teen fintech app Step and Beast Philanthropy, alongside MrBeast Lab toys and Beast Mobile. The company is privately held and does not publish audited financial statements.
