Shutterstock is partnering with Anthropic to make its library of images, videos, music and sound effects available inside Claude.
The integration takes the form of a Shutterstock connector in Claude that lets users search, preview and discover and license content without leaving the chat interface, giving Shutterstock distribution into AI-native workflows and giving Anthropic a built-in commercial-media option for creative and presentation tasks.
"We're breaking down that divide so customers can strategize, ideate, create, iterate, license, and finalize work with less toggling, more control, and greater confidence," Paul Teall, vice president of marketplace strategy at Shutterstock, said in an announcement.
The companies did not disclose financial terms, terms weren't disclosed, and Shutterstock framed the deal as an extension of prior platform work, following its launch of a Shutterstock app in ChatGPT, a move that came as Shutterstock shares were trading roughly 4% higher early after the announcement.
Shutterstock said the integration supports its push to make its library of content a mainstay in AI-native workflows as it expands distribution across AI platforms.
