Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company reported third-quarter net income of NT$763.06 billion, with earnings per share of NT$29.43.
Consolidated revenue for the quarter reached NT$1,494.24 billion, as the world's largest contract chipmaker continues to ride demand for processors powering artificial intelligence workloads.
The results land as TSMC explores a potential expansion of its chip production footprint in Texas, a move that would build on the $100 billion United States investment it announced in July, aimed at expanding domestic manufacturing capacity for AI processors.
That earlier commitment was framed by management as necessary to meet growing orders for AI chips and ensure sufficient local capacity for customers running large-scale AI deployments, according to the company.
TSMC has also been reported discussing a possible role in Elon Musk's Terafab project in Texas, with Musk saying talks were under way and that "something may come of it."
TSMC has guided full-year revenue growth above 30% for 2026 and maintains a longer-term target of 25% annualized revenue growth through 2029, backed by planned 2026 capital expenditure near the high end of a $52 billion to $56 billion range.
