Adobe has acquired India-based marketing intelligence startup Rilo in a licensing-and-team deal, with terms not disclosed.
The purchase transfers Rilo’s workflow automation technology and a compact team to Adobe after the startup raised $1 million at about a $10 million valuation, and investors will get an exit.
“We’re very excited that Rilo has been acquired by Adobe in such a short span of time,” Rahul Gupta, managing partner at Day Zero Ventures, said, reflecting investor enthusiasm for Rilo’s workflow builder; Adobe confirmed it will take some of Rilo’s IP and the six-member team as it looks to bolster AI-driven marketing and go-to-market automation licensing and team acquisition that could fit into Adobe’s CX and marketing suite.
Rilo, founded in 2025 by IIT batchmates Georgi Boby and Dhruv Jaglan, counted more than 10,000 trial users and will shut down its public service after the deal Rilo will shut down, marking Adobe’s second acquisition from India after Rephrase.ai in 2023.
