Tesla will unveil the second‑generation Roadster on Oct. 1, after CEO Elon Musk posted "Go for launch" on X alongside artwork that hints at optional cold gas thrusters tied to his other company, SpaceX.
The reveal resets a programme that was first shown in November 2017 and repeatedly delayed.
The electric-vehicle maker last acknowledged the car likely will not go into production for another 12 or 18 months, a timeline that does not immediately translate into customer deliveries.
And it follows years of paid reservations including at least one $50,000 reservation fee.
Tesla’s next milestone is the Oct. 1 public reveal itself, after which production timing and availability will hinge on the follow‑up engineering and manufacturing schedule Musk has framed as roughly a year to 18 months post‑reveal.
