Anthropic is preparing IPO filings that frame its total addressable market above $30 trillion and could ask investors to $100 billion, implying a roughly $2 trillion valuation.
The Wall Street Journal reports the company could unveil those financial-disclosure documents in the next few weeks and that the timing could set it up to go public as soon as September.
The Journal noted the TAM calculation is theoretical, a measure of revenue if a firm captured 100% of a market, and pointed out that tech companies in the S&P 1500 brought in $2.4 trillion last year to put the figure in perspective.
Anthropic’s pitch to investors comes after a year of aggressive enterprise moves, rapid revenue expansion, and large private financings, and follows product and agent launches plus infrastructure deals intended to scale inference capacity.
The filings will, the Journal says, include historic benchmarks and projections that signal how aggressively Anthropic expects public markets to price AI as an industry‑defining opportunity.
