Anthropic invited nearly 500 software engineers to a Tokyo event called Code with Claude to promote its Claude artificial intelligence tools for automated software development.

Anthropic, the US artificial intelligence start-up, is seeking to cultivate the Japanese market to broaden its user base, Nikkei reported.

At the event the company showcased autonomous code-writing features in its Claude models and said the tools can drastically improve developer productivity.

The session was held in Tokyo on 10 June and targeted software engineers working on everyday coding tasks and workflows.

Nikkei reported the outreach is part of Anthropic's effort to build local adoption by demonstrating how Claude can assist software development.
