Jaguar Land Rover will integrate Digital Charging Solutions' roaming platform into its customer services to provide roaming access to public chargers for EV and PHEV drivers.
The agreement connects DCS's network to JLR's InControl Remote app and future JLR apps so drivers can locate nearby devices, filter by availability and speed, and use sites ranging from urban venues to remote locations including the Isles of Benbecula, Skye, Islay, Orkney and Land's End.
"Quality, choice and convenience are critical to the luxury experience we are creating for our electric vehicle clients," Mark Camilleri, director of charging and connected services at JLR, said.
Customers buying or owning fully electric and plug-in hybrid JLR models will receive a complimentary JLR-branded charging card and the charging service is offered free to users with smartphone payment controls, while an optional subscription at £8.99 a month cuts charging rates by 20%.
The rollout is timed ahead of JLR's upcoming EV launches, with the Jaguar Type 01 scheduled to debut in production form in October and an all-electric Range Rover also expected this year.
