The Document Foundation accused Euro-Office of acting as a "de facto ally" to Microsoft's content lock‑in strategy.

The criticism targets Euro-Office, a self-described sovereign productivity suite that uses the language of European digital independence while, the foundation says, aligning with practices that reinforce platform lock‑in.

The attack was made by Italo Vignoli, a founding member of The Document Foundation, according to The Register.
